This full day workshop goes beyond the basics of risk management covering more detail on more of the technical aspects of risk management. We consider at the level of risk we want to aim for, how to assess the risks we have and how we mitigate those risks to a level of comfort. Importantly, we cover how we can make sure our risks remain managed and sound risk management practices are embedded.

Kirsten is a seasoned risk, compliance and ethics professional with over 25 years’ experience working in Australia, London and Singapore. She is a subject matter expert in whistleblowing and conduct risk, focused on embedding compliance and risk cultures, ethical behaviour, accountability and good governance.
As a specialist consultant and thought leader in these areas, Kirsten is passionate about sharing her knowledge and facilitating teams to learn, grow and develop safe, trustworthy organisations.
Having worked globally across a range of sectors, industries and cultures, Kirsten has seen risk and compliance being managed in a variety of ways with diverse impacts. She brings a wealth of experience and tangible examples to how risk, compliance and conduct can be managed to strengthen organisations. Kirsten sees the big picture and follows global best practice and regulatory trends. She combines this with her technical knowledge for practical, embedded implementation.
A skilled and engaging facilitator, Kirsten applies her global expertise through case studies and examples to provide memorable learning for participants. Her presentation skills have been honed with audiences all over the world – from Siberia, Russia and Jordan in the Middle East to Geraldton WA and from a variety of backgrounds including, the Associations of Corporate Counsels in Hong Kong and Singapore, the Institute of Internal Auditors UK, the Chinese Judiciary, as well as the Board of HBF Health and the Chairman of Standard Chartered Bank.
Kirsten grew up in Perth and studied law at UWA. She qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria before moving to London and then later, Singapore. She returned home to Perth in 2019. Kirsten has a Bachelor and Masters of Laws, a Masters in Public Administration and a Post Graduate Diploma in International Community Development.
