This 90-minute workshop explores active listening as a core human skill that enhances relationships, drives better decisions and strengthens your influence and credibility at work. Participants will uncover why listening is more than hearing: it’s understanding, empathising and responding in ways that build trust, collaboration and impact. Through practical exercises, participants will learn techniques to focus attention, read verbal and non-verbal cues, ask powerful questions and provide meaningful feedback. The workshop highlights how active listening can help accelerate career progression, improves team outcomes and elevates client and stakeholder engagement.

She also held leadership roles within the Victorian government and education system, where she led online learning strategy, curriculum development, wellbeing, and literacy support. She currently serves as a Director on a Victorian government board.
Alongside her practice, Nikki is an accomplished researcher and writer with a Masters by Research, and has been commissioned by high-profile organisations including the Australian Emergency Management Institute, Australian Institute of Disaster Resilience, National Australia Day Council, Microsoft Australia and Asia Pacific, Education Services Australia, Australian Centre for the Moving Image, ACARA, VCAA, DE Victoria and NT, the Asia Education Foundation, nbn co., and the Red Cross.
