This Asbestos Awareness Training course has been specifically developed to educate and equip individuals who may encounter asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in their workplace. Asbestos remains a significant hazard in many older buildings and structures, posing serious health risks to workers if disturbed.
The training aims to raise awareness about asbestos by providing detailed insights into recognising potential ACMs, understanding the associated health hazards, and effectively managing and minimising the risks of exposure. Participants will gain essential knowledge and practical strategies to comply with WA legislation, follow industry best practices, and implement robust safety standards to ensure workplace safety and health protection.
This course is based on the Code of Practice – How to Manage and Control Asbestos in the Workplace.
